A week on the desk

Scribble Flow isn't something you "do." It's a rhythm you fall into. Here's the whole habit, start to finish. Steal what fits and ignore the rest.

Every morning - two minutes

Open your Desk. Glance at the Daily Brief. Pick one task from Worth doing and start there.

That's the whole morning ritual. You're not planning the week; you're choosing the next thing.

During the day - zero effort

Capture anything, the second it shows up. A worry, a link, a customer's exact words, a screenshot. Just Cmd/Ctrl + K and go.

Do not file it. Don't pick a project, don't tag it, don't tidy. That's the point - capturing has to be frictionless or you won't do it. Sorting comes later, on your terms.

Once or twice a week - ten minutes

Hit Start Flow from Inbox or Desk. One scribble at a time, about ten minutes:

  • Worth building? → turn it into an idea, a task, a decision, or a customer insight.
  • Just clutter? → archive it.

You'll be surprised how good it feels to end with a clear-ish Inbox. And if you don't get to it, nothing breaks - the Inbox waits.

Whenever you decide something - thirty seconds

The moment you make a real call - a stack, a price, a cut feature - write it in Memory that day, with one line on why.

This is the highest-return habit in the whole app. It costs thirty seconds now and saves you an hour of "wait, why did we do this?" three months from now.

Whenever you ship - one minute

Log the release in Ship. Then, a little later, add one sentence on what happened after: more signups, a support drop, crickets. That single line turns your changelog into a record of what actually works.

Once a week - Atlas (Basic and Pro)

Open Atlas. Look at what you captured and never connected. If a release has no outcome, write one line. Then go back to Desk. The map is not a place to live.

Permission to skip days

You will skip days. That's fine. The desk doesn't punish you, and nothing rots. The Inbox holds everything patiently until you come back.

Capture is a habit. Everything else is optional, whenever you're ready.
