Just capture
The idea never shows up when you're ready. It's on a walk, mid-meeting, or at 11pm when the laptop is already closed. Most notes apps make you stop and file it - pick an app, a notebook, a tag. So you don't. And it's gone.
Scribble Flow has one job here: catch the thought before it escapes. No forms. No folders. No choosing a type.
The fastest way in
Anywhere in the app, press Cmd/Ctrl + K. A box opens: What are you thinking about? Type, then Cmd/Ctrl + Enter to save. Done in three seconds.
On your phone, tap the big + in the middle of the bottom bar.
No need to categorize - I'll sort it out.
That line at the bottom of the capture box is a promise. Write messy. Write half-sentences. "wait should pricing be per invoice??" is a perfectly good scribble.
Capture anything, not just text
The same box takes more than words:
- Voice - on a walk, tap the mic and talk: "customers keep asking for invoices." It saves the audio, and transcribes it to text if you've turned that on.
- A screenshot or photo - paste it straight from your clipboard, or pick an image.
- A link - drop a URL you want to come back to.
- Code - flip on code mode for a snippet, with the language kept intact.
- A file - attach anything with the paperclip.
- A sketch - draw a quick diagram, or open Slate for a full page to draw on.
Optionally, you can drop a scribble straight into a project as you save it. But you never have to.
What happens after you hit save
You'll see a small toast: "Saved to your desk. I'll make sense of it in the background."
Behind the scenes, your desk reads the scribble and quietly adds a title, a short summary, and a guess at what it is - an idea, a task, a bug, a decision, a piece of customer feedback. It shows up in your Inbox with all of that attached.
Here's the part that matters:
Your original scribble is stored exactly as you wrote it, and is never overwritten.
The AI's take sits next to your words, never on top of them. If it guesses wrong, no harm done - your original is untouched, and you can fix or ignore the guess.
If the thought shows up in the editor, From the editor is the same desk from VS Code or Cursor.
Now that thoughts are piling up in your Inbox, the next step is turning the good ones into something real: Make something of it - that's Start Flow.
